  MINORITY SCHOLARSHIPS (General)

Ron Brown Scholar Program "The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify African-American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, exhibit exceptional leadership potential, participate in community service activities and demonstrate financial need. The applicant must be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card. Current college students are not eligible to apply. [...] Each year, a minimum of ten students will be designated Ron Brown Scholars and will receive $10,000 annually for four years, for a total of $40,000." 
 
The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarships "Through its Education and Leadership Development Program, The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $7,200 annually to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.  You must be a U.S. citizen in order to qualify for the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Award."
  
United Negro College Fund "UNCF awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending UNCF member schools and other schools across the country. UNCF also supports faculty members through grants for research and dissertation completion."
  
Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Graduate Scholarship Programs Minority PhD Program, American Indian Graduate Program in partnership with the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering Scholarships.  
The Gates Millennium Scholars "Provide[s] outstanding low income African American, American Indian/Alaska Natives, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education in any discipline area of interest. Continuing GMS Scholars may request funding for a graduate degree program."
     
National Society of Black Engineers Scholarships "NSBE provides various scholarships to our members through our NSBE and Corporate Scholarship Programs. Individual scholarships range in value from $500 to $5,000. In 2004, we introduced a new NSBE Scholarship Program that merges our former Member of the Year Program and the Distinguished Fellow Program. This award is the highest honor a NSBE member at the collegiate or graduate level can receive and includes a $15,500 scholarship."
   
Dell/UNCF Corporate Scholars Program The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) and Dell have partnered to provide MBA students, sophomores and juniors attending any four year institution with an opportunity to gain invaluable internship experience and earn a $10,000 scholarship.
  
William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship for Minority Students "The Nonprofit Sector Research Fund, a grantmaking program of the Aspen Institute in Washington, DC, annually offers the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship, which is based on academic excellence and need, is open to both undergraduate and graduate students who are members of minority groups. The Hearst Scholar serves as a summer intern with the Fund. [...] A scholarship grant of between $2,500 and $5,000 will be awarded, depending on the recipient's educational level, financial need, and time commitment."
  
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Scholarships for Minority Students "This scholarship program provides awards of up to $5,000 to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession."  For undergraduate and graduate students.  
  
Xerox Scholarships "The Technical Minority Scholarship Program was developed to demonstrate the strong commitment by Xerox to provide financial support and meaningful experiences for minorities. Scholarships are made available to minorities enrolled in a technical degree program at the bachelor level or above."
   
The Sidney B. Williams, Jr. Intellectual Property Law School Scholarship "Sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Education Foundation, this scholarship addresses the need to increase the number of the minority intellectual property attorneys and to bring these attorneys to the attention of firms and corporations as candidates for employment. The $10,000 Law Scholarship will be awarded to minority students developing a career in intellectual property law or holding a past or present, full or part-time position in an area related to intellectual property law. Applicants must also have a demonstrated financial need and outstanding academic performance in the undergraduate level and law school level (if applicable)."  
  
ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS
National Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship Program The Maureen L. & Howard N. Blitman, P.E. Scholarship to Promote Diversity in Engineering
This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior (male or female), from an ethnic minority, who has been accepted into an ABET-accredited engineering program at a four-year college or university. The award [is[  $5000 for the freshman year,

National Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship
Professional Engineers in Industry (PEI) Scholarship ($2,500)
(Female or Male, $2500 for one year).  Applicants must be sponsored by a NSPE/PEI member.

William H. Bailey Jr. Memorial Scholarship awards $1000 to an African-American college student who is a resident of the Bronx, NY and who has completed one year of engineering coursework at an ABET-accredited engineering program at a US college/university.

The Indiana Society of NSPE offers three scholarships of $750 each to college students residing in Indiana. The student applicant must have completed two years of the four year requirement for an engineering degree in a ABET-accredited college or university in Indiana.

Professional Engineers in Government (PEG) ($2,500)
Management Study Fellowship

(Female or Male, $2500 for one year)
This is a scholarship for graduate students who are pursuing an MBA, a master's degree in engineering management, or a master's degree in public administration.

Steinman Fellowship ($10,000)
(Female or Male, $10,000 for one year)
To assist young engineers in their pursuit of a graduate degree in engineering

GENERAL SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
Intel Science Talent Search  The Intel Science Talent Search is America's oldest and most highly regarded pre-college science competition. For more than 60 years, this competition—often referred to as the "junior Nobel Prize"—has provided an incentive and an arena for U.S. high school seniors to complete an original research project and have it recognized by a national jury of highly regarded professional scientists.
 
L'Oreal USA Women in Science Fellowship "The US fellowship initiative was designed to mirror the company’s international for Women in Science fellowship program which this year celebrated its eight year partnership with UNESCO. Both programs aim to advance the scientific pursuits of women researchers and to date have awarded 90 international fellowship grants and 15 fellowships in the US."
  
The Young Epidemiology Scholars Competition "The YES Competition awards up to 120 college scholarships each year to high school juniors and seniors who conduct outstanding research projects that apply epidemiological methods of analysis to a health-related issue."
  
Student Inventors Scholarship 2006 Collegiate Inventors Competition:  "With over $75,000 in prizes awarded to the top inventors and their academic advisors each year, the Competition is one of the most prestigious honors available to college and university innovators"
LAW SCHOLARSHIPS

Jan Jancin Award for Intellectual Property Law "The AIPLEF, the AIPLA and the ABA-Intellectual Property Law Section award this $5,000 Award to an outstanding third year law student who has demonstrated excellence in the area of intellectual property."

The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans "The purpose of The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is to provide opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields."  Provides fellowships for up to two years of graduate study in the United States for New Americans (A New American is an individual who (1) is a resident alien; i.e., holds a Green Card, or, (2) has been naturalized as a U.S. citizen, or (3) is the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens)"
    
NISH National Scholar Award for Workplace Innovation and Design "NISH established the National Scholar Award for Workplace Innovation & Design to create technological solutions to barriers that prevent people with severe disabilities from entering or advancing in the workplace."
   
Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Awarded to Outstanding Seniors.  50 awards are for $20,000, 200 awards are for $4,000, dispersed over 4 years.  Scholarships are awarded to students with leadership skills, commitment to their communities, and academic achievement.  The scholarship may be used for any major of study.  Two year scholarships are also available.  
  
Holocaust Remembrance Project Scholarships "The Holocaust Remembrance Project is a national essay contest for high school students that is designed to encourage and promote the study of the Holocaust.  First Place winners participate in an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and other historic sites.  In addition, scholarships of up to $10,000 will be awarded to the first-place winners.  "

Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund "The Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund has a variety of scholarship opportunities available. Some support different schools or specific areas of interest. All TMSF Scholarships are awarded through the 47 member schools."  General Merit Scholarships also available.   
   
Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships "The purpose of the Ambassadorial Scholarships program is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries. The program sponsors several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies."  Must have completed 2 years of college.
